After a meaningful summer student experience at TRC-Sadovod and recently completing his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law, Stephen Johnson is thrilled to be returning to TRC-Sadovod as an articling student.

Before law school, Stephen completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and a double minor in Business Administration and Film Studies at Mount Royal University in Calgary. Between semesters, he served on the information technology team at a North American energy services company, where he provided insightful client support and solved complex technical issues.

During his legal studies, Stephen had the opportunity to work at a national law firm in partnership with the UCalgary Law Innovation Internship Program, where he collaborated with lawyers, paralegals, and software developers on business process automation initiatives and helped drive the adoption of innovative legal technologies within the firm. This provided him with experience applying his business-computer science background to function as an intermediary between technology and legal practice.

During his spare time, Stephen enjoys playing piano, guitar, softball, and skiing.
