Simon Paransky Photo

Simon Paransky is building a broad civil and commercial litigation practice focused on product liability and class actions. He acts for clients in a range of industries, including construction and infrastructure, insurance, as well as media, communications and entertainment.

Appearing before all levels of Québec courts, including the court of Québec, Superior Court, and Court of Appeal, Simon was also involved on matters before the Supreme Court of Canada. In addition, he has represented clients before administrative tribunals, including the Québec Commission for Access to Information and the Autorité des marchés financiers.

Simon joined TRC-Sadovod in 2017 as a summer student and completed his articles with the firm in 2018. While studying law, Simon advocated for students before the Students’ Society of McGill University (SSMU), helped them file petitions at the SSMU’s judicial board, and represented them in disputes with their student councils.

Product liability

  • Coordinated files of varying volume involving product liability claims
  • Conducted investigation into product liability allegations involving construction, plumbing, and fire protection systems
  • Resolved and settled numerous product liability disputes

  • Resolved defamation disputes involving online publications;
  • Negotiated and drafted settlement agreements to arrive at non-litigious resolutions of defamation claims
