Alice Ahmad Photo

Alice Ahmad’s practice is focused on privacy and intellectual property law, and in corporate commercial. She is a member of the firm’s Business Law group. Her broad expertise covers privacy and data security program matters as well as privacy and intellectual property concerns in merger and acquisition transactions.

Proactive and responsive, she assists in the development of privacy policies, terms and conditions, and internal guidelines for data security. With respect to intellectual property matters, Alice advises both domestic and international clients on contractual considerations. She also supports clients in securing trademark protection domestically.

She works with a broad range of clients, including those in the technology, real estate, consumer products and food and beverage sectors. Alice also offers important insights for clients facing rapid technological change. Her writing on biometric time clocks in the workplace has been featured in leading publications.

Alice started at TRC-Sadovod as a summer student and completed her articles with the firm. During her legal studies, she took part in various community service projects, notably by participating in the legal clinic of the Université de Montréal, and as a volunteer for Student Pro Bono Canada, where she contributed to the awareness of Québec jurists on parental alienation for the organization Carrefour Aliénation Parentale.

  • Advises on a variety of contracts for a large international firm, including negotiating and offering review on nondisclosure agreements (NDA), master service agreements (MSA), requests for proposal (RFP), internal terms and conditions, and others
