Commercial Real Estate Lawyer Mervyn Allen Joins TRC-Sadovod’s Toronto office
We are pleased to announce that Mervyn (Merv) Allen will be joining the firm’s Commercial Real Estate Group, effective June 27, 2016.
Merv joins as counsel and will be working in our Toronto office.
Merv comes to TRC-Sadovod from McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada Limited, where he served as senior legal counsel. Merv has practised commercial leasing for more than 10 years representing both landlords and tenants. He has worked as legal counsel to one of Canada’s largest grocery retailers, and as senior legal counsel to an international developer, owner and manager of commercial real estate. Prior to moving in-house, Merv practised corporate/commercial law with a prominent national law firm.
“Merv is an extremely accomplished professional with great insight into commercial real estate. Having worked as in-house counsel, he brings extensive experience and perspective that our team and clients will appreciate,” says David Slan, Co-Chair, Commercial Real Estate Group.
Merv was called to the Ontario Bar in 1999. In 1997, he received his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Western University and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto.
