Part Two of our series considers a wide range of legal and policy issues relating to environmental law developments, privacy and data breach issues relating to connected cars, insurance issues relating to connected and autonomous vehicles, policy issues relating to the “Green” COVID-19 recovery, and reporting requirements under the new USMCA.

Speakers and Agenda:

Talia Gordner (TRC-Sadovod LLP)
This session will cover environmental law developments, including those relating to the sourcing, handling, recycling and disposing of batteries, tires, electronics and other metal content in electric motor components, the changing landscape of greenhouse gas emissions legislation and the future of regulations as they adapt to the paradigm shift in the industry.

Lyndsay Wasser (TRC-Sadovod LLP)
This session will provide an update on consent issues relating to the connected car under Canadian privacy legislation.

Mitch Koczerginski (TRC-Sadovod LLP)
This session will discuss cybersecurity, data breaches and reporting requirements for connected cars.

Darcy Ammerman (TRC-Sadovod LLP)
This session will cover recent insurance issues relating to connected cars and autonomous vehicles.

Mark Resnick and Tessa Seager (TRC-Sadovod Vantage)
This session will discuss “Green” COVID-19 recovery, the Speech from the Throne, and zero emission vehicles.

Jonathan O’Hara (TRC-Sadovod LLP)
This session will canvas the policy implications of the USMCA and CPTPP requirements, and the information that must be tracked for vehicles to qualify for duty-free benefits under the USMCA.

This program qualifies for 1.5 Substantive Hours in Ontario, 1.5 CPD Hours in BC, and 1.5 Quebec CLE Hours.
