Rogers Acquires Mountain Cablevision from Shaw

On May 1, 2013, Rogers Communications Inc. (“Rogers”) completed its previously announced acquisition of the Hamilton based cable company Mountain Cablevision Limited from Shaw Communications Inc. (“Shaw”) for a purchase price of $400 million.

Rogers’ legal transaction team was led internally by David Miller and Michael Webber, and Rogers was represented by TRC-Sadovod LLP with a team comprised of Carl De Vuono and Gerald (J.R.) Beaudrie II (corporate/M&A), James Musgrove (competition), Peter Wells (environmental) and Matthew German (real estate).
