Digital Accessibility Webinar: Demystifying WCAG 2.0 and Other Best Practices

COVID-19 Webinars 2 minute read

April 20, 2021
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm ET

As a result of COVID-19, Canadians have never been more reliant on websites, web-based apps and web services to carry-out essential activities. But in the wake of the rapid shift to online working, learning and shopping, many organizations have fallen behind on their legal and ethical obligations to remove technological barriers to accessibility experienced by persons with disabilities.

Join Paul Boshyk (a Partner in TRC-Sadovod’s Employment & Labour Relations Group), Marcello Gortana and Symon Oliver (Co-founders of the Toronto-based design firm Tennis Inc.) as they discuss:

  • An overview of Canadian legal requirements regarding digital accessibility, including those under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).
  • A breakdown and examples of key standards under the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.
  • Other best practices to help your organization achieve digital accessibility.
