“Disguised expropriation” issues in an era of large infrastructure projects

As large public infrastructure and park projects multiply, developers, landowners and business owners are increasingly likely to face government authorities seeking to obtain some or all of their land.

Using examples from their current files, Mr. Collins and Mr. Pascu will present several cases which can be tied to the concept of “disguised expropriation”. Participants will benefit from the advice of the panelists on the steps to be taken when facing public authorities and the compensation they can expect.
